Welcome to my webpage!
Most likely, you're not here by accident, but because you've found the courage to begin changing your life.
I am Nina Grudina,
a psychotherapist with a systemic approach. I earned my master's degree and completed my four-year specialization at the Sigmund Freud University of Psychotherapy in Ljubljana. In my practice, I work with individuals, couples and families, treating both adults and children/adolescents.
I am a certified mindfulness teacher, offering sessions both individually and through group courses. Additionally, I specialize in perinatal support, which includes psychological support during pregnancy and the first year after childbirth. I have completed the Postpartum Support International course, and in my work, I follow the latest guidelines in terms of MMH (Maternal Mental Health).
My work experience in the field of psychotherapy began in 2017 at the SFU Ljubljana university clinic, followed by an internship at the CSM in Gorizia, and culminated with the opening of my private practice in 2021. Even before that, I worked in the school environment and in various educational institutions.
I love dynamic and diverse work, which is why I chose the systemic relational approach. It is suitable for different types of pathways: individual, couple, family, and group. It encompasses many techniques and creative methods that make it possible to establish contact with different kinds of people. The individual is viewed as part of the system they belong to, which exerts various influences—both positive and negative—on their well-being.
In therapy, we consider the important relationships and the context in which the person lives—everything that shapes their world. Systemic therapy is solution-oriented (without neglecting the origins of problems) and focuses on goal setting to foster a proactive mindset.
In addition to psychotherapy, I also dedicate myself to mindfulness practices and perinatal support—two fields I feel particularly close to and that represent an essential part of my professional journey.
Outside of work, I’m a wife, mother, athlete, nature enthusiast and travel lover. I believe in the immense value of interpersonal relationships and admire those who have the courage to open up, trust, and show vulnerability.
To maintain the highest standards in my work, I regularly engage in supervision. I also pursue continuous growth through events, training, seminars and academic reading. I’ve undergone over 300 hours of psychotherapy as a client, which has given me invaluable insight into what it’s like to be "on the other side."
I adhere to the Ethical Code of the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP) and respect professional data protection standards.
As a certified psychotherapist with a systemic approach, I’m also a member of the Slovenian Association for Systemic Therapy.
My vision
True life means living an authentic life to the fullest. It means sincerity in interpersonal relationships, free expression of one's thoughts and emotions, and being in touch with oneself.
It means nurturing love for ourselves and the strength that allows us to live in the way we believe is right, regardless of others' pressures and judgments. This is exactly what I wish for every person with whom I share a small part of their journey. I believe that within each of us there is great potential for change, which is realized only if we are sufficiently motivated and have the courage to step outside our comfort zone. Psychotherapy is an excellent tool to begin exploring and practicing this "true life."
What is my calling?
To support people during challenging moments and share a small stretch of their journey — when the climb is too steep, when the falls are too painful, when you feel lost and unsure of which path to take, when inertia causes you to lose sight of life’s beauty and fear arises in the face of new challenges.
