Mindfulness

“Mindfulness” means living with awareness and acceptance. It’s a capacity we all possess but often forget due to societal pressures and busy lifestyles. Mindfulness practice involves bringing our attention to the present moment—our thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations—without judgment. During this exploratory process, we try not to change what we experience: we learn not to run away from unpleasant sensations and not to hold on to pleasant ones. It’s important to maintain an approach of openness, curiosity, and acceptance, which we strengthen through mindfulness practice.

 

Mindfulness practice

This includes both "formal" exercises, such as mindfulness meditation, body scan, mindfulness walking, breathing practices, and other less formal exercises that help us develop our ability to be present and observe in everyday life situations.

 

Benefits of Mindfulness

Mindfulness strengthens self-awareness and emotional balance. It helps us understand that we don’t need to constantly be on autopilot. It teaches us to stop, breathe, take a few minutes just for ourselves and our mental health. It helps us understand that we don’t have to constantly run without stopping and without any contact with ourselves. We are not machines, and sometimes we can turn off our autopilot and intentionally choose an approach to life filled with presence, authenticity, and acceptance. Mindfulness opens a path to knowledge and change, as greater self-awareness allows us to expand our choices: how to react, how to spend our time, how to live. Therefore, mindfulness practice represents a valuable opportunity for personal development.

Technical Information

Mindfulness sessions are available individually or in groups, both in person and online. Events and retreats are occasionally organized – follow my Facebook page to view the upcoming events.

Price: Individual session €60; group sessions vary based on the event.
